At our most recent Sock Drop, we donated our one millionth pair of school socks, in the very same week that Sexy Socks celebrated its 11th birthday. It was a milestone that felt both humbling and deeply meaningful, marking over a decade of purpose-driven work and the collective impact of every customer who has chosen to support our mission.
Reaching one million donated pairs is more than a number. It represents one million moments of comfort and confidence for learners across South Africa, moments made possible through conscious everyday purchases.
Where purpose meets profit
Since day one, Sexy Socks has believed that business should be a force for good. For every pair of socks purchased, we donate a pair of school socks to a child who needs them. Our one-for-one model is built on a simple but powerful belief: profit and purpose don’t have to compete — they can, and should, work together.
That belief came to life at our most recent Sock Drop, where we donated over 7,400 pairs of school socks across ten schools in Franschhoek. These schools were selected with intention, supporting communities where seasonal employment can place added strain on households, and where access to basic necessities can make a meaningful difference to a learner’s day-to-day life.
