August is Women’s Month in South Africa, and this year we marked it by continuing to put our mission into action and connect with the communities at the heart of what we do.
Throughout the month, over 23,000 pairs of school socks were donated to children through Kalkfontein Primary School, Eindhoven Primary School, Botlhokwa Foundation and Beautiful Gates.
A particularly special part of the month was our Women’s Month visit to Beautiful Gates, where we partnered with Against Period Poverty for a day centred around connection, care and giving back.
Our team had the opportunity to spend time with the children, share a few laughs and hand out close to 4,000 pairs of school socks. It was a day filled with plenty of smiles and a reminder of why getting out into the communities we support means so much to us.
Women’s Month gave this visit an extra special meaning. It was an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of giving, support and community while continuing to make a practical difference in the lives of children.
